A few weeks back, I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Kathleen and Norman’s June engagement session. June really brought its A-game with perfect weather, blooming flowers, and golden-hour lighting that photographers dream about! This park is already beautiful, but Kathleen and Norman made it shine. Every moment was filled with laughter and joy, and I just couldn’t get enough of these two! They truly lit up every single photo.

Bringing Casual Summer Vibes

Let’s talk outfits—because these two nailed it! Kathleen wore a lovely white sundress; it was simple, elegant, and looked amazing against the lush greenery. Norman kept it cool with a light blue collared shirt and khakis. Not only did their outfits complement each other beautifully, but they also stayed comfortable, which is key for any photo session. Especially in the summer heat, comfort is key! So choose outfits that make you feel confident, comfortable, and feel like YOU.

If you’re planning a summer engagement session, take a page from Kathleen and Norman’s book. Light colors and breathable fabrics are perfect for keeping cool. For the ladies, think flowy sundresses or a chic romper. Guys, stick with light-colored shirts and chinos or linen pants. The goal is to look great but feel comfortable because your comfort will show in the photos!

Capturing Natural Moments

One of my favorite parts of this shoot was how relaxed and natural Kathleen and Norman were. They didn’t try too hard to pose; they just enjoyed being together. Which is the perfect way to go about a session! Whether they were walking hand in hand along a flower-lined path or laughing under a big oak tree, you could see their chemistry. The best photos happen when couples are just being themselves, and these two were absolutely in their element. I’m so honored they trusted me to capture their June engagement session.
