once upon a time, i was a sales coordinator

My first "real" job out of college was working at an event production company as a sales coordinator. I had a friend who ran her own photography business and I was intrigueddd.... I asked her SO. MANY. QUESTIONS. (Not even thinking that it would be something I wanted to pursue. I was just genuinely curious)!
I bought a camera off amazon on a whim

Well kind of a whim...my co worker friend asked me if I would be interested in shadowing her and helping her out in her business!!! Needless to say, I bought a camera off of amazon that very night and in 2 days I was learning photography!
I went to a few shoots with her and practiced taking pics of my dogs and about a month later she was paying me to associate shoot for her for families and couples.

I associate shot for my friend for about 6 months or so before I decided that I was getting the hang of it and wanted to start booking clients on my own.
And so Savannah Michelle Photography was born!! I shot anything that involved people and took my camera with me on vacations and started to develop a name for myself with lots of repeat bookings and referrals!!

It's incredible what happens when you are fully living in your purpose! After becoming a "legit" business in January 2021 I was able to quit my sales job in less than a year!!
And here we are!!! I love working from home on my couch in sweatpants with Sammy curled up next to me! But what lights me up the most is I have the honor of photographing all of YOUR special moments along the way! Somebody pinch me!!

My husband and I are not the best “picture takers” and Savannah made us both feel so at ease.
