Bridal details set the stage for your wedding day. It is the first thing I do when I arrive on your big day (other than giving you a massively big hug)!!! Having all of your details laid out and ready for me when I arrive in your bridal suite is a game changer! It allows me to not waste any time searching for items and get to shooting right away! And, when I have more time to shoot, it gives me more freedom to be creative with all of your beautiful details!

And since we’re talking about beautiful details, I wanted to tell you about two of my favorite ways to easily elevate your bridal details! Are you ready for them?! OKAY, here they are:

1. A nice hanger for your dress
2. Loose florals

Both of these items are GAME CHANGERS when it comes to detail shots!!

No one wants to spend thousands of dollars on a beautiful dress only to have it hung by a crappy plastic hanger for photos. Am I right?! So bring a nice hanger on your big day and don’t assume the venue you’re getting ready at has one. If you don’t have a custom hanger, a wooden hanger works great!

Now to florals….asking your florist to leave some extra loose florals for your detail shots allows for a pop of color and texture in your shots AND it helps to tie your detail shots in with the rest of the day in your final gallery (your bouquet, bridesmaids bouquets, bouts, center pieces, ceremony decor and cake all most likely have the same florals).
