I’m such a sucker for a fun, care-free couple that’s so in love and these two DEFINITELY embody that! Nicholette and Jesus’s engagement session was nothing but a fun time from all the props to incorporating their pup – we had it all! We all got along so well that it felt like I was photographing my own friends….and isn’t that the goal – natural, genuine human-to-human interactions that in turn creates beautiful images?!! I think, YES!

The background story behind how I got to work with this couple is even more exciting! Nicholette’s sister, Jessica, first found me on IG when she was scrolling the gram trying to help her sister plan her big day. Jessica (a former wedding videographer herself) reached out to me because she loved my style and vibe and thought I would be a great match for her sister! So, she passed along my contact info to Nicholette and Jesus and we had a FaceTime call all together. They let me know they had set a date for the wedding, but hadn’t locked down a venue quite yet (which, admittedly, made me a little nervous for them given all of the craziness with weddings these days), but they knew they wanted to lock in their photographer because pictures were super important to them! Luckily, I was available for their wedding date and the following day, they booked me to photograph their wedding (and have since locked in a venue, as well PHEWWW)!

As we were starting to plan their engagement session, they made one small request – it needed to happen ASAP because Jesus was going to be heading to Texas for work for the next few months before the wedding. I jokingly (but also seriously) responded to them, “No worries, I’m booked the next two weeks, but we can do sunrise this Wednesday” and they immediately said YES! So, we all headed to the beach at 6AM on Wednesday and had an absolute blast!! From strawberries and whipped cream, to splashing in the water, to an outfit change on Las Olas Blvd and playing with bubbles….this session had it all!

Needless to say, I can’t wait for the big day!!!
