Nothing is more heartwarming than reconnecting with old friends on their special day! This February, I had the privilege of photographing Selina and Morgan’s stunning wedding at Dream Bay Resort in Key Largo, FL. Selina and I attended high school together, and it was so good to see so many familiar faces among the bridesmaids! There’s something uniquely special about photographing a wedding where you share a history with the people involved; it adds an extra layer of joy and connectivity to the moments you capture.

The Keys

The Florida Keys are well-known for their laid-back, tropical atmosphere and spectacular sunsets. Selina and Morgan’s wedding embodied this spirit perfectly! Set against the backdrop of crystal waters and gorgeous palm trees, the ceremony felt both intimate and grand at the same time. The sunset during the golden hour created a dreamy, surreal atmosphere that only the Keys can offer. It’s these magical moments that make me love photographing weddings in the Florida Keys; there’s an effortless beauty that seems to permeate every single scene.

Hanging rattan lanterns, paired with vibrant colored flowers, added a luxurious and tropical feel to the event. These details created a sense of whimsy and elegance that matched the natural surroundings so perfectly! From lush centerpieces to intricate table settings, I was in HEAVEN with these details!
