I’d be lying if I said The Islander Resort in the Florida Keys isn’t my favorite place to photograph weddings. I mean what’s not to love…..the beach, the ocean, the palm trees, the breeze, the beautiful cotton candy sunsets over the water, the laid back vibes and obviously sandy toes and a drink in one hand at all times. It’s paradise on earth!
I had the pleasure to photograph not one, but two weddings at The Islander Resort in Islamorada this past November and I was in heaven. Callie and Jake’s beautiful wedding day was one to remember.
I felt so lucky that we had the perfect day that we had for a few reasons. Driving to The Keys a few days prior was a little wild. There was an insane storm that rolled in with wind gusts so strong that our hotel lost power and parts of the road were flooded. I was ON EDGE thinking about the two weddings in the coming days. Luckily, the storm made its way through quickly, and left us with THE MOST stunning days to follow. I mean, I could not have dreamt of a more beautiful day to celebrate Callie and Jake’s love. They were the sweetest and most gorgeous couple both inside and out (trust me, scroll through to see). What an honor it was to capture their beautiful day!
And let’s just say, after this one, I’m ready to go back to The Keys ASAP!
If you’re still searching for your perfect Florida Keys wedding venue. Check out this wedding at Baker’s Cay and this wedding at Playa Largo.
