My clients find me through a variety of channels and platforms, but by far my two favorite ways that they find me are through Instagram and word of mouth. Wanna know why? Simply because I know when clients reach out to me after hearing about their friend or family member’s experience working with me or after scrolling through my Instagram, they know two things. 1. They know my style of photography (editing and posing) and 2. They have an idea about ME and how I will make them feel at their shoot.
Obviously, word of mouth is the best form of marketing there is and it is by far how the biggest percentage of my clients find me, but Instagram is very powerful, as well (which is how Hannah and Andy found me). I always try by best to not only showcase my work, but also my personality on Instagram so that before my clients ever reach out to me, they feel as if they already know me and we could be friends. And that, to me, is priceless.
When my clients reach out and tell me things like, “we love your personality,” “I love that you’re goofy and fun,” “I feel like we could be friends” – those are the best things I could ever hear. And if that’s what comes across from my Instagram, then I’m doing my job right! Because, that’s EXACTLY how I want you to feel when you reach out to me!
With Hannah and Andy, everything that they perceived to be true about me when they reached out to me to shoot their engagement photos (after finding me on Instagram) was exactly true and it really did feel like we all knew each other for years!
