There is something undeniably special about a Pelican Club wedding in January. And this day, was extra special with the blue, sunlit skies, not a cloud in sight and the crisp 60 degree weather. It felt like South Florida was showing off for us. The light was soft and golden and the gentle breeze off the water carried that relaxed coastal elegance the Pelican Club is known for. And of course the views were next level gorgeous.

And to make the day even more perfect, Julia and Walter’s young and in love energy set the tone for this storybook wedding day. They were sweet, easygoing, and completely present with one another, which is sometimes rare amongst the wedding day chaos. They had such a natural joy about them, it made everything feel effortless. Their love story makes it even better—they met at a Florida Gator’s bar on Valentine’s Day while both single, and they’ve been together ever since. Talk about fate!

One of the things I love most about photographing a Pelican Club Wedding is how beautifully the venue complements refined coastal design. This celebration leaned into that aesthetic in the most timeless way.

Soft blue textured linens added a delicate nod to the waterfront setting, while woven chargers and subtle coastal elements brought warmth and depth to the tablescape. Tall glass candle sleeves throughout the reception space created the dreamiest romantic glow against crisp white florals and airy greenery. The floral arrangements by the talented Petal Creative felt organic yet elevated for a look that was elegant without ever feeling overdone.

Every detail felt cohesive. Thoughtful. Intentional. The kind of design that photographs beautifully because it was created with atmosphere in mind. And as the photographer, that intentionality is appreciated.

The weather truly could not have been more ideal. Sixty degrees, bright sunshine, and clear skies allowed the couple and their guests to fully enjoy the waterfront views that make a Pelican Club Wedding so iconic. The timeline was perfectly executed to allow space to breathe, celebrate, and be fully present on this gorgeous day.

And that presence defined the day. Nothing felt forced. Laughter came easily. Moments unfolded naturally. It was elegant but relaxed, polished yet deeply personal.
