Im obsessed with beachy vibes and bringing sunshine to your wedding by making YOU GLOW with confidence in front of the camera! (even if taking photos make you nervous)
If you’re an expectant mother, you’ve probably had the thought cross your mind before…are maternity photos worth it? And let me tell you my opinion right up front. A resounding YES, absolutely, 1000% worth it. And, here’s why…. The journey of motherhood is just that, a journey. A hard one. For some it starts as soon as pre-pregnancy and trying to have a baby and facing difficulties. For others, it starts the moment you find out the exciting news that you’re going to be a mom!
So many emotions, so many things to do and prepare for, so many opinions, so much information to read. It can get overwhelming very quickly. Things are moving a million miles a minute trying to do everything you can to prepare your body, your life, your marriage and your family for this new little bundle of joy. Which is why, taking a moment to slow down and enjoy the journey and document it can be so special. From the first flutter of a baby’s kick to the bittersweet moments of saying goodbye to a growing belly, every stage of pregnancy is a unique experience that deserves to be documented.
I think some people avoid maternity photos because they have this preconception that they will look “too big” or “too uncomfortable” or “nothing will fit me” or “I’ll be too tired.” But, great news! All of this can be avoided if you follow some basic rules of thumb that I tell all of my couples when planning for maternity photos.
So all in all, are maternity photos worth it? I say heck yes! Leave your insecurities at the door, take the photos! You never know if this will be your last chance to do so.
