With every couple I photograph, there’s always a back story. Whether it be how we met, something crazy or funny that happened at their engagement shoot, a story leading up to their shoot…the list goes on and on. And for Caroline and Ben, our story together is a unique one.

We all met way back in high school!!! And when Ben was ready to propose, he reached out to me to photograph it. We had it all planned out….Waking up at sunrise to take her “fishing” and I’d be there hiding out to capture it all.

The morning of, I woke up feeling horrible. I was lethargic, throwing up with a pounding headache. I could barely stand up, let alone drive an hour and half in the dark to Hutchinson Island. I had to tell Ben that there was no way I’d be able to capture it, and at 5am it’s kind of hard to find a replacement, so he took it into his own hands and set up a timer to capture it himself! Oh, did I forget to mention, he knows his way around a camera, himself!

Moral of the story, it all worked out for them because she said YES and he got a couple photos to prove it. Fast forward a few months, I was able to capture their engagement photos in the same spot that he proposed (so romantic) and now I was able to capture their wedding last month! It was nothing short or a spectacular day filled with so much fun and love and I was so beyond honored to be a part of it.

Caroline and Ben, you two are a match made in heaven and the most wonderful humans inside and out and I am so lucky to know you both and to be a part of your love story! Cheers to many, many years of laughs and happiness together!
